DMH visit for training on traceability and calibration (2019)

From 2 to 4 and from 9 to 10 October 2019, five technical officers from the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (DMH) in Myanmar attended training on traceability and meteorological instrument calibration at WMO/RIC Tsukuba as part of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Project for Enhancing Capacity of Weather Observation and Forecasting.

The trainees learned about traceability, practiced calibration procedures relating to pressure and temperature, and assimilated information on AWS maintenance. The training is considered to have been successful and to have contributed to the mutual development of meteorological services provided by DMH and JMA.
